| Variant | Cards Dealt | Game Length | Best For | Min Stake |

| Deals Rummy | 13 cards | 15–30 min | Fixed-deal play, intermediate | ৳50 |

| Pool Rummy (201) | 13 cards | 60–90 min | Long sessions, experienced | ৳100 |
| 21-Card Rummy | 21 cards | 45–75 min | Complex strategy lovers | ৳200 |
| Gin Rummy | 10 cards | 10–20 min | 2-player head-to-head | ৳25 |
Points Rummy
The fastest Rummy format at r bajji. Each game plays for a single deal. The winner takes all the chips based on the point value of opponents' unmatched cards multiplied by the pre-agreed rupee/taka value per point. Ideal for players in Dhaka who want a quick game during a lunch break or commute.
Deals Rummy
Played over a fixed number of deals (typically 2 or 3). Each player starts with an equal number of chips. At the end of all deals, the player with the most chips wins. Deals Rummy rewards consistency and punishes reckless declarations — a format popular among intermediate r bajji players.
Pool Rummy
Players are eliminated when their cumulative score reaches 101 or 201 points. The last remaining player wins the entire prize pool. Pool Rummy is the ultimate test of endurance and strategy — r bajji's 201 Pool tables regularly attract players from Chittagong and Sylhet looking for marathon sessions.
21-Card Rummy
A more complex variant using three decks and 21 cards per hand. Special combinations like Marriage (three consecutive same-suit cards) and Value Cards add an extra layer of strategy. This is the most technically demanding Rummy format on r bajji and rewards experienced players with the highest prize multipliers.
Gin Rummy
A classic two-player head-to-head variant. Each player is dealt 10 cards and the goal is to form melds (sets or runs) while minimising deadwood (unmatched cards). A player can "knock" to end the round or achieve "Gin" by melding all cards. Popular for its intensity and quick resolution on r bajji's mobile platform.
Tournament Rummy
r bajji hosts daily, weekly, and monthly Rummy tournaments with guaranteed prize pools. Tournaments use a Points or Deals format with bracket-style progression. Entry fees start from ৳50, and top-ranked players can win prizes exceeding ৳50,000. See the tournaments section below for the current schedule.

-
Understand the Deal
Each player is dealt 13 cards (or 10 for Gin Rummy, 21 for 21-Card Rummy). One card is placed face-up to start the discard pile; the rest form the closed deck. Your goal is to arrange your hand into valid sequences and sets before your opponents.
-
Form Sequences and Sets
A pure sequence is three or more consecutive cards of the same suit without a joker (e.g., 5♠ 6♠ 7♠). An impure sequence uses a joker to fill a gap. A set is three or four cards of the same rank but different suits (e.g., 8♠ 8♥ 8♦). You must have at least one pure sequence to make a valid declaration.
-
Pick, Arrange, and Discard
On each turn, pick one card from either the open discard pile or the closed deck, then discard one card from your hand to the open pile. Use the auto-sort feature to organise your hand by suit or rank — it makes spotting partial sequences much easier.
-
Declare and Win
When your hand is complete — all cards arranged into valid sequences and sets — click "Declare". r bajji's system validates your hand instantly. A valid declaration wins the round; an invalid declaration incurs an 80-point penalty. Your winnings are credited to your r bajji wallet immediately.
Valid Hand Requirements
- At least one pure sequence (mandatory)
- At least one more sequence (pure or impure)
- Remaining cards in valid sets or sequences
- All 13 cards accounted for in groups
- No group may contain fewer than 3 cards
- The final card must be discarded to the finish slot
Beginner Tip
- Always aim to complete your pure sequence first — without it, no declaration is valid no matter how good the rest of your hand looks.
- Discard high-value unmatched cards (K, Q, J) early to keep your penalty points low if an opponent declares before you.
- Watch the discard pile carefully — it tells you which cards your opponents do not need.
Rummy Strategy & Tips
Rummy is a game of skill. The players who win consistently at r bajji are not the luckiest — they are the most disciplined, observant, and strategic. Here are the key principles that separate winning players from the rest.
Read the Discard Pile
The open discard pile is a window into your opponents' strategies. If a player repeatedly discards mid-value cards of a particular suit, they are likely not building a sequence in that suit — meaning those cards are safer to hold. Conversely, if a player picks from the discard pile, you now know exactly what card they have, which helps you decide what is safe to discard next.
Use Jokers Wisely
Jokers are the most powerful cards in Rummy. Never use a joker to complete a pure sequence — save jokers for impure sequences or high-value sets that you are struggling to complete naturally. A joker used to substitute a missing middle card in a sequence is worth far more than one used where a natural card would have done the same job.
Drop When Necessary
In Pool Rummy, a first-move drop costs only 20 points — far less than the 80-point penalty for an invalid declaration or the 40+ points you might accumulate from a bad hand. Experienced r bajji players are not afraid to drop early when their initial 13 cards offer no viable path to a quick sequence. Knowing when to fold is a skill, not a weakness.
Reduce Deadwood Early
Deadwood — cards that are not part of any sequence or set — is the enemy in Rummy. Prioritise discarding isolated high-value cards (face cards worth 10 points each) in the first few turns unless they are one card away from completing a sequence. Keeping your deadwood count below 20 points at all times gives you a safety net even if an opponent declares before you.
Build Flexible Groups
Favour partial sequences that can be completed with multiple different cards over those that need one specific card. For example, holding 6♥ 7♥ can be completed with either 5♥ or 8♥ — two chances rather than one. This flexibility dramatically increases the odds of completing your hand within the next few draws.
Manage Your Time
Each turn at r bajji has a time limit. Use the auto-sort feature to keep your hand organised so you are not rushing to find a card to discard. If you are genuinely unsure what to discard, defaulting to the highest unmatched card is almost always the correct play — it minimises your penalty exposure while you work on completing your sequences.
Advanced Strategy: Card Counting
- Each deck has exactly 4 copies of every card. Track how many of each card have already been discarded to calculate the probability of drawing what you need.
- If two copies of the card you need are already in the discard pile, the probability of drawing it from the closed deck is significantly reduced — adjust your strategy accordingly.
- In multi-deck games (21-Card Rummy uses three decks), card counting becomes less precise but still useful for identifying dead cards.
- Keep a mental note of which joker cards are in play — once all jokers are accounted for, no more wild substitutions are available to any player.
Bankroll Strategy for r bajji Rummy
- Set a fixed monthly Rummy budget and stick to it. Treat it as entertainment spending, not an income stream.
- Never play at a stake level where a single bad session can wipe out your entire bankroll. A good rule: maximum table stake should be no more than 5% of your session budget.
- Use r bajji's deposit limit tools to cap your monthly spending if you find yourself depositing more than planned.
- Track your wins and losses using r bajji's transaction history — honest record-keeping reveals patterns that help you make better decisions.
